DOCTOR ZHIVAGO, the other Road Show attraction which we are now playing in some of our theatres in the principal cities, is also proving to have great popular appeal and will undoubtedly develop into one of the highest grossers of all times.
The trend toward the “Roadshowing” of big attractions is continuing. Among these, we are looking forward to presenting the United Artists’ production of James Michener’s HAWAII, which features Julie Andrews, in some of our theatres. Arrangements have already been concluded to present this attraction in our Alouette Theatre in Montreal and the University Theatre in Toronto about the middle of October.
Paramount’s IS PARIS BURNING is a sensational production which is based on the best selling novel of the same name, and features an international cast of brilliant performers. This attraction will also be presented as a Road Show in many of our important theatres.
We are discussing arrangements for the presentation of the much publicized Twentieth Century-Fox production, THE BIBLE in some of our Road Show theatres.
The much discussed WHO’S AFRAID OF VIRGINIA WOOLF, starring Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton, is also doing outstanding business at our theatres. While it is strictly adult entertainment, it has definitely proven that in the motion picture medium there is a demand for the dramatic that has from time to time been successful on the legitimate stage.

ARRIVEDERCI, BABY is an hilarious comedy-romance from Paramount, starring Tony Curtis, Nancy Kwan and Zsa Zsa Gabor. Also from Paramount is SECONDS, a fantastic story about a business man who buys a new life for himself, in which Rock Hudson is starred.
Sean Connery, famed for his portrayal in the James Bond spy stories, has had a change of pace for Warner Brothers and will be seen in A FINE MADNESS, with Joanne Woodward and Jean Seberg. Other attractions from Warner Brothers which will also be presented in our theatres include ANY WEDNESDAY, with Jane Fonda and Jason Robards, based on the successful Broadway nit and the comedy NOT WITH MY WIFE, YOU DON’T, starring Tony Curtis, Virna Lisi and George C. Scott.
Universal’s sensationally successful attraction THE TORN CURTAIN, a drama of intrigue produced by the master of suspense, Alfred Hitchcock, and featuring Julie Andrews and Paul Newman, will be available to us in several of our theatres during the fall season.
From Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer in the next few months we will have HOTEL PARADISIO, a comedy with Alec Guinness, Gina Lollobrigida and Robert Morley; THE
