nENRY OTTO. Born in St. Louis. Mo., 1S77. After receiving a public school education he made his first appearance on the stage with a comic opera company, "Trouping Through the Middle West." Mr Otto met with many hardships to start with, but being possessed of great fortitude and grit, he determined to stick. Next followed two seasons with Richard Mansfield, playing very small parts and understudy in^ some then very prominent players. Various stock engagements followed, then a Mason with Henry W. Savage's original "The Devil" Company. After a tour of the Orpheum circuit with Minnie Seligman in a headline act, "The Drums of Doom," he came to California for his health, and in the summer of 1911 began playing before the camera. After three years' photoplaylng he was awarded a "producership" at Selig's, Los Angeles, and on December 80, 1913, produced his first photoplay. Address: Photoplayers Club, Los Angeles, Cal.
