a J. ATKINSON. Born in Portland, Ore., 1876. First engagement in the moving pictures was with the Vitagraph of America, Flatbush • studio. For two years in stock, during which time he will best be remembered as playing in "The Deluge" and "Tale of Two Cities." Then followed a two years' engagement as assistant superintendent and superin- tendent of production with Pathe Freres, Jersey City, after which he came to the Coast to join the Universal, which company he left to act as pur- chasing agent and business manager for Bosworth, Inc., with whom he is at present engaged.
