*" — ^ NO. P. McGOWAN. Born in South Australia, February, 1883. An AustraQ 1 lian by birth. Started his theatrical career with Robert B. Mantell, his \^^* last appearance in the legitimate being in "The Squaw Man," after which he joined the Kalem Company, New York Studio, which he had charge of before coming West. Mr. McGowan is one of the first American actors to go abroad for the purpose of making pictures. Since joining the Kalem he has made three trips abroad — one around the world — working in the celebrated productions of "Colleen Bawn," "From the Manger To the Cross," "Awa-naPogue." etc. Mr. McGowan has been with the Kalem ever since.
