Vy^ALLACE REID. Born in St. Louis. Mo., April 15. 1890. Educated in the I If PUDlic schools of St. Louis and New York, graduating from college in \m/ 1909. In December of this year, Mr. Reid made his first appearance on the stage in "Tne Girl and the Ranger," after which he had a most successful tour in vaudeville. First picture experience as general utility man with the Selig Company, leaving them in November, 1910, to go to the Vitagraph, after which he became assistant director with the Reliance Company. Following this, he went to the Imp Company, playing leads. Accompanied Mr. Turner to California to make Bison pictures, and in 1912, "Wally" joined the American Flying A Company as director and leading man, only to return to the Universal under direction of Allan Dwan. Now playing leads at the Mutual. Among some of his numerous successes may be mentioned his leads in "The Wall of Money" and "The Harvest of Flame."
