^y^ALTER EDWARDS. Mr. Edwards is a new recruit in the moving pic| I | ture field, having been with the New York Motion Picture Company a v£y little more than a year. He is now one of the most valued directors, playing and directing in all of his pictures. For thirty weeks prior to his engagement with Mr. Ince, Mr. Edwards was with the Burbank and Morosco Producing Company, in Los Angeles, Cal. He has had an extensive theatrical career, having played in most of the New York successes of recent years, and also having starred at the head of his own company in a romantic and Shakespearean repertoire. He created the part of Mr. Alladin in the play. "Mr. Alladin," produced at the Majestic Theatre, Los Angeles. Mr. Ince tried to prevail upon Mr. Edwards to play the title role in New York, but he preferred to remain on the "Ranch." He has been especially successful in producing plays of the northwest, having been leading man with Olga Nethersole during her tour through Canada and the northwest.
