aRTHUR MAUDE. Previous to joining the motion pictures Mr. Maude enjoyed a highly successful career in the legitimate, playing in classic and Shakespearean plays. His first experience in the silent drama was in "Pelleas and Melisande," in which he was featured with Constance Crawley under the directorship of J. Farrell McDonald, for the Universal Company Later he was featured with Constance Crawley in all the Loftus productions. Some of his chief successes were in "Bride of Lammermoor," "Mary Magdalene," "Thais" and many others. Now playing leads with New York Motion Picture Company.
