CLARA WILLIAMS. Born in Seattle, Wash., in 1891. Began her theatrical career in 1907 with Richard Jose in "Don't Tell My Wife." Then stock engagement, touring the Pacific Coast. Then over the S. & C. circuit in dramatic sketch, following which Miss Williams filled a year and a half engagement with the Essanay in Denver, playing leads under the direction of G. M. Anderson. Then back to the legitimate, being featured with the Colonial Stock Company, St. Paul, afterwards appearing in a comedy sketch in vaudeville over the Keith circuit. Going back to the silent drama, Miss Williams filled a year's engagement with the Lubin Company in Philadelphia, playing under the direction of Francis Grandon. Returning to the Pacific Coast, she joined the New York Motion Picture Company, Santa Monica, Cal., where she is now engaged as leading lady. Now being featured in the production of "The Two Gun Man," playing the part of Nell Brent. Miss Williams is possessed of a most charming personality; this added to her great ability makes her one of the most popular actresses in the silent drama today.
