HOOVER PHOTO SHANK F. MOORE. Born in Philadelphia, 1880. Mr. Moore comes from a family of famous actors, being the brother of Florence Moore, who last starred in "Hanky Panky" of world renowned success. Mr. Moore's first appearance on the stage was at the Keith's Theatre, Philadelphia, where he appeared in vaudeville for one season with the Three Moores, the company comprising himself, wife and sister. After that he came West with his own company in repertoire en tour for four seasons, then back to New York, and appearing under headliners of "Morton & Moore," creating the production of the "Dancing and Singing Clowns." This engagement lasted eight years. Mr. Moore also starred with the Benham Company and the Merry World Company. Came to Los Angeles and played the part of the "Shaggy Man" in the celebrated production, "Tik Tok Man."
