Vw^HEEEER OAKMAN. Born in Washington, D. C, 1890. His first appearri I ance in the theatrical profession was in 1908, when he played juvenile \MJ leads in "Under Southern Skies" in New York; then appearing in the New York productions of "Strong Heart," "Checkers," etc., from there going into stock for a period of three years in Washington, D. C. Mr. Oakman came to California in 1912 and became associated with the Lubin Company, from there going to the Selig Company, where he is now playing leads under the direction of Colin Campbell.
