fYDNEY SMITH. Born in Fairbault, Minn., February 28, 1893. Educated in the public schools of Minnesota and came to California in 1911. First moving picture experience was in the Pathe Western under the direction of James Youngdeer, playing comedy and boy parts. Some of his best pictures were "Her Son," "The Bullet's Mark" and "The Blind Gypsy." After staying with the above company two years, he associated himself with Selig's, Los Angeles, playing comedy and boy parts. During the past eight months he will be best remembered as playing the lead in "Castles in the Air," the three-reel picture "Garrison's Finish," "Her Victory Internal," "Tale of a Coat," and also as playing Mickey in "The Red Head Series" under the direction of Geo. McGregor. Mr. Smith is an all around athlete, and besides being a hard worker is devoted to his work, these qualifications, added to his natural ability, are fast pushing him to the front.
