VICTORIA FORDE. Born in New York, 1897. There are few, if any, actresses of Miss Forde's age that have had more theatrical experience than she has had, for she faced the footlights at the age of four years with her mother in "The Desperate Chance," and before going to St. Catherine's Convent in 1908 she filled the following engagements: With John Drew for two seasons, in "His House in Order," playing the boy role Direk; taking the part of Danny in Chauncy Alcott's production "Terrance" ; appearing with Maxine Elliott in "Her Own Way," playing Toots; playing boy roles with Blanche Walsh Company, and going into vaudeville with her mother In a sketch called "Mrs. Danforth's Experience." After leaving St. Catherine's Convent in 1910, she appeared in the title role of Mr. Steam's production, "Polly of the Circus." Miss Forde began her picture experience with the Nestor Company of New York in 1911, under the direction of Mr. Christie; later coming to Los Angeles and joining the Universal Company under the direction of Mr. Turner; then after a short stay with the Albuquerque Company, returned to the Universal Company under the direction of Mr. Christie, where she is now engaged, playing comedy leads.
