/f~\ ESS MEREDITH. Born in Buffalo, N. Y., and made her first appear If \ ance on the stage in stock with the Baldwin Melville Company in Buf^i^ falo, playing ingenue leads with Wm. Lawrence, afterwards appearing in vaudeville in dramatic sketches. Joined the moving pictures in 1912 with the Biograph Company. In 1913, Miss Meredyth came to Los Angeles, Cal., and associated herself with the Universal Company, Powers brand, where she has been ever since. Miss Meredyth is one of the best known comedy stars appearing on the screen today. Some of her recent successes may b$ seen in the following well-known productions: "Across the Veldt," "The Forbidden Room," "The Mystery of Wickham Hall," "The Severed Hand," etc. She is not only an actress of exceptional merit, but is a writer of many scenarios in which she appears.
