eSTELLE ALLEN. Born in Portland, Ore., January 5, 1895. Although not yet twenty years old, Miss Allen has had as much experience on the stage as many others in the same profession who are nearly twice her age, for the reason that she has been appearing on the dramatic stage nearly all her life, but her first bona fide engagement was in "Little Lord Fauntleroy" at the age of seven with Corse Paton in Brooklyn. Four years ago Miss Allen was persuaded to join the Edison forces, playing leads with Mary Fuller under direction of Oscar Apfel. After remaining with the Edison Company three months she returned to the legitimate again for another two years' engagement, when she again entered the silent drama — this time with the New York Motion Picture Company. Some of her numerous successes on the legitimate were a three years' engagement on Stair & Havelin Circuit — starring for one and onehalf seasons in "Prince of Patches." Leading lady in "Barriers Burned Away," en tour, and stock engagements in Chicago, St. Louis and many other large Eastern cities. During her association with the New York Motion Picture Company we might mention "The Flotsam" and "Highland Romance" as the photoplays which displayed to the best advantage the exceptional talents possessed by Miss Allen. She is shortly to return to her work in the silent drama. Address: Santa Monica, Cal. Two Hundred Sixteen
