m IRIAM COOPER. Born in Baltimore. Md„ November 7, 1894. Was educated at The Sacred Heart Convent in New York. Her first picture engagement was with the Biograph Company, New York, in the beginning of 1912, under the direction of D. W. Griffith, and after staying there four months she joined the Kalem forces in New York, playing leads, and accompanied the same company into Florida. Miss Cooper, during her association with the Kalem, filled all the parts which called for skill in both swimming and riding, as she is an expert on these lines. In addition, some of her notable successes during this period were in those well-known productions "Shenandoah" and "Uncle Tom's Cabin." She came West in January, 1914, and joined the Mutual Film Corporation and since then amongst many others has taken part in those world-famed productions, "Home, Sweet Home" and "The Clansman."
