QHYLLIS GORDON. Born in Suffolk, Virginia. It is almost impossible for anyone of the same age as Miss Gordon to have any more theatrical experience than she has had for the reason that her stage experience began almost as soon as she was old enough to walk. Amongst her numerous engagements before joining the pictures may be mentioned — starring and costarring with Eddie Foy in the musical extravaganza, "Up and Down Broadway," also with Louise Dressier in a big Drury Lane production of "Dick Whittington." Then, coming to the coast three years ago with Louise Dressier in "Tillie's Nightmare" and just prior to joining the moving pictures had an engagement in dramatic stock with Nat Goodwin at the Auditorium, Los Angeles, after which she filled a two years' engagement with Selig's, appearing chiefly in western animal pictures. Following this, she joined the Universal for one year, playing leads under the direction of Henry McRae. Then finally going over as leading lady to Mr. Nash when he and Big Otto started their new company in Los Angeles. Miss Gordon is very fond of all animals and spends most of her spare time in riding and other outdoor pastimes. Address: Big Otto Ranch, Los Angeles, Cal. Two Hundred Twenty-two
