BENG OR PRODUCTION. .. ., About 4,800 feet ~ A Woman’s Man” marks the return of the old Lubin player and director, Romaine Fielding, to the Screen aiter an absence of several years. His reappearance is made under circumstances which may be set down as very ordinary but which contain, for all their lack of lavishness, a melodramatic story that will at least interest audiences patronizing the smaller theaters.
The story relates of the manner in which Larry Moore (Mr. Fielding) was left to die on the desert by a villain, Grey, who stole his sweetheart and told her that he was dead. In the meantime Larry has been found by friendly inhabitants of the edge of the desert and nursed back to life.

up the villain as a forger and to prevent the wedding. They have capped the story with a fine humorous sequence that will certainly send them away smiling. Larry has interrupted the wedding but the guests and the minister are patiently waiting for something to happen. Bidding hem bide their time Larry goes to the license clerk’s office for the necessary papers but finds him gone. He sits on the steps with the girl and falls asleep. And then there are some flashes back to the guests and the minister draped all over the floor and chairs under the spell of Brother Morpheus.
The story has a strictly elemental interest and is not embellished by any extravagancies of production or setting. In some places the action takes twists that are quite crude in order to manoeuver to conventional situations where the villain has hero and heroine in his power. But withal the picture reflects a certain degree of sincerity that will bring to it an average share of interest.
The wreck flash is realistic enough and shows two trains in a terrific head-on collision. It provides a fine thrill solely through its actual realism than in any direct relation it may have to the plot, for it is obviously
stock stuff.
