Was given control of the Government Theatre in Berlin in 191 1, a position which he retained until 1919. when he was induced to make yet another journey to U.S.A. to entertain German audiences there. Began film-making with the old Essanay Company, and made his Hollywood debut in 1927. Began her screen career as a member of Mack Sennett's now famous Bathing Beauties. Was later claimed by Paramount, for whom she has since appeared in many successful productions.
