Began his career in pictures while running a small cinema in Johnstown, Pennsjdvania. Soon went to New York, and in a short time was given a chance as a director. This was given him with the Imperial Company in 1909 by Carl Laemmle. One of his most notable films was Peter Pan (Para, 1924).
